My name is Alida Szabo. I am the writer and photographer of this website, as well as a filmmaker, social researcher, and Southeast Asia expert. My approach here is to combine photography with historical insights and local legends to highlight these cultural wonders, the oldest temples and villages of Bali.
Fascinated by the ways Indonesian cultures express themselves through architecture, arts, and rituals, I have been exploring and mapping the sacred geography of Java and Bali since 2005.
